ALL HAIL KING DIEGO!

We produced this web promo for PUMA with their ad agency, droga5.  We had a great time working with some amazing archival footage of the legendary Diego Maradona and, yes, a shoot with some beautiful ladies in a hot tub.  Production is so hard sometimes.

YES, THIS IS -REALLY- ONE TAKE

This video supports a track from Brooklyn-based Ladycop’s most recent album, Waves--which is awesome.  We worked with the band to achieve this surreal video entirely in-camera, using a lot of simple but effective tricks.  The concept is by Charred Oak, directed by Jonathan Scott Chinn.

OUR COMEDIC TAKE ON UNEMPLOYMENT IS, FITTINGLY, VERY NSFW

This irreverent comedy short started as a way to test shooting on the Canon 5D Mark II, but then, well...we just couldn’t leave well enough alone.  By the end we had gone to the trouble to write and perform an original glam-rock theme song.  This little gem is written by our own Richard Lovejoy.

CHARRED OAK’S FIRST MUSIC VIDEO

Shooting this video on location in and around Okemah, Oklahoma was a bit like a military operation:  Boat shots, 2AM calls, tick-infested fields... Luckily, none of that shows up in the quiet, evocative footage for this song from an emerging singer-songwriter.  Directed by Jonathan Scott Chinn.

TEETOTALLERS AND VEGETARIANS, BEWARE

This is a preview for a reality series we’ve developed with co-conspirators Melissa Parrish & Sophia Betz.  What happens when a young couple drinks copious amounts of alcohol, then tries to cook a complicated gourmet meal for their (all-too-sober) friends?  We shot a full-length pilot for this hilarious series, contact us if you’d like to see the whole episode!

FROM THE VAULTS!

DARK AND SEXY, THE WAY WE LIKE IT

We shot this in one freezing day in the outer reaches of New York City, and almost got arrested twice.  It was a spec video for a track from Royksopp’s new instrumental album...and although we didn’t win the commission, turns out we think this is one of the coolest things we’ve done!
